2025 Soil Analysis Before Harvest Year

    As Durak Hazelnut, before the 2025 harvest year, samples were taken from the gardens of our producers and sent for soil analysis.

    The purpose of soil analysis is to determine the amount of plant nutrients in the soil and to reveal the type and amount of fertilisers required by the product to be grown in the soil. While taking soil sample;

    • A probe, auger or waist shovel is used.
    • Soil samples are taken every 15-20 steps on a zig-zag line, not on a straight line extending from one end of the field to the other.
    • A V-shaped hole 30 cm deep is dug at each point, then a 3-4 cm thick soil slice is taken from this surface.
    • The samples are cleaned and sorted from stones, rubbish and other foreign materials, labelled and placed in a bag and delivered to the laboratory immediately.
