The ‘Sustainable Social Practices Programme’, carried out in partnership with Durak Hazelnuts and Mondelez, has reached its end by 2023.
215 farmers were trained on wages and working conditions, child labour and gender equality, and the impact of the training was evaluated by conducting surveys and interviews with the producers after the training.
In the first year of the programme, since the producers participated in this programme for the first time and had not been involved in any sustainability work before, their level of awareness was quite low, but by 2023, a 100% progress has been achieved in the producers.
This programme, carried out in cooperation with Durak Hazelnuts and Mondelez, evaluates the effects of the trainings carried out within the scope of the ‘Sustainable Social Practices Programme’ among hazelnut producers and the awareness levels of the producers. These results reflect the positive effects of increased awareness levels of producers on sustainable agriculture and social responsibility issues.
The continuation and expansion of the programme with the support of Mondelez and the leadership of Durak Hazelnuts will contribute to strengthening sustainable agricultural practices in the long term.
