The ‘Sustainable Social Practices Program’ carried out in partnership with Durak Hazelnuts and Mondelez has come to an end as of 2023.
215 farmers were given training on wages and working conditions, child labor and gender equality, and after the training, surveys and interviews were conducted with the producers to evaluate the impact of the training.
In the first year of the program, since the producers participated in this program for the first time and had not previously taken part in any sustainability studies, awareness levels were quite low, but as of 2023, 100% progress was achieved among the producers.
This program, carried out in cooperation with Durak Hazelnuts Inc. and Mondelez, evaluates the effects of the trainings carried out within the scope of the ‘Sustainable Social Practices Program’ among hazelnut producers and the awareness levels of the producers. These results reflect the positive effects of the increasing awareness levels of the producers on sustainable agriculture and social responsibility.
Mondelez’s support for this program and Durak Fındık’s leadership will contribute to the continuation and expansion of the program in the long term, and will contribute to the strengthening of sustainable agricultural practices.
